This award recognises HR teams within the ICT sector that have delivered outstanding workforce management and talent development over the past 12 months. The judges will want to see a comprehensive approach to HR across areas such as talent attraction, workforce capability, employee engagement, wellbeing, and leadership development. Entrants should demonstrate how HR initiatives have supported innovation, strengthened workforce performance, and contributed to business growth within a fast-paced and competitive technology environment. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for clear information backed up by facts that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Background: Please provide an overview of the organisation including workforce size, structure, and core ICT operations. Outline the role of the HR function and its overall people strategy, including key workforce challenges such as competition for technical talent, rapid scaling, or skills shortages.
  • Key Initiatives & Challenges: Please outline the key HR initiatives implemented over the past year. This may include talent acquisition and retention strategies, skills development programmes, employee engagement initiatives, or wellbeing supports. Include any specific challenges faced and how these were addressed.
  • Collaboration: Describe how collaboration between HR, leadership teams, and technical or business units contributed to improved workforce outcomes. This may include cross-functional working, leadership alignment, or employee involvement in HR initiatives.
  • Outcomes & Results: Highlight the outcomes of the HR initiatives, providing evidence of how they have improved workforce performance and organisational effectiveness. This may include improvements in retention rates, employee engagement, workforce productivity, innovation output, or talent acquisition success.
  • Supporting Statements & Testimonials: Please include any additional statements or facts that support your entry, such as employee feedback, testimonials, survey results, or external recognition.
