This award recognises an outstanding HR Business Partner who can best demonstrate an exceptional contribution to the success of their organisation over the past 12 months. It celebrates individuals who act as true strategic partners to the business—shaping decision-making, driving people strategies, and delivering measurable impact on organisational performance. The individual can be nominated by themselves or by anyone inside or outside their organisation, but please ensure you have their permission to do so. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for clear information backed up by facts that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Career Summary: In your submission, please provide a summary of the nominee’s HR career to date, including their current role, key responsibilities, areas of expertise, and relevant qualifications. Outline their position within the organisation and the scope of their influence across teams or business units.
  • Achievements: What makes this individual stand out from their peers? Outline their key achievements, demonstrating how they have gone above and beyond expectations in their role. Highlight any creativity, innovation, or leadership shown in delivering HR initiatives and supporting the business.
  • Impact: Summarise the individual’s overall contribution to organisational performance and success, quantifying where possible. This may include improvements in employee engagement, retention, workforce capability, productivity, or business outcomes, as well as challenges faced and how they were overcome.
  • Sample Project: Highlight a recent HR project or initiative the nominee has been heavily involved in over the past 12 months. Demonstrate its objectives, execution, and measurable success, including the value delivered to the organisation.
  • Leadership & Influence: Outline how the individual has demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills. Provide examples of how they have partnered with senior stakeholders, supported decision-making, and acted as a trusted advisor within the business.
  • Supporting Facts & Statements: Please include testimonials or supporting statements from senior leaders, colleagues, or stakeholders that demonstrate the nominee’s impact, leadership, and contribution to the organisation.
