This award recognises organisations that have made a meaningful and measurable social impact through workplace initiatives over the past 12 months. It celebrates organisations that go beyond business performance to address social and environmental challenges through initiatives such as sustainability, community engagement, diversity and inclusion, employee wellbeing, and industry advocacy. The winning organisation will demonstrate how social responsibility is embedded into its culture and strategy, delivering tangible benefits for employees, communities, and wider society. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for clear information backed up by facts that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Background: Outline the organisation’s approach to social impact, including its purpose, priorities, and key objectives. Provide an overview of the organisation including workforce size, structure, and core operations, and explain how social impact aligns with overall business strategy and values.
  • Key Projects & Initiatives: Describe the main social impact initiatives delivered over the past 12 months. This may include programmes focused on community engagement, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, employee wellbeing, charitable partnerships, or industry advocacy. Explain how these initiatives were designed, implemented, and aligned to organisational goals.
  • Innovation: Highlight any innovative or unique approaches that contributed to the success of the initiatives. This may include new partnerships, creative programme design, or novel ways of embedding social responsibility into day-to-day operations.
  • Outcomes & Results: Summarise the measurable impact of your initiatives, including benefits to communities, employees, or stakeholders. Provide clear evidence such as social impact metrics, environmental improvements, or employee engagement data. Include year-on-year comparisons where possible and outline how impact is tracked and improved over time.
  • Other Facts & Statements: Include any additional information that strengthens your submission, such as testimonials, case studies, external recognition, or supporting data.
