Shuttlerock unifies people and finance systems to support global growth

Shuttlerock, an Auckland-based digital production technology provider serving global creative-industry clients, has deployed Workday’s cloud-based HR and finance management platform as part of its international expansion strategy.

Reseller News stated in an article that the company employs more than 300 people across 11 offices spanning five continents.

As its footprint grew, Shuttlerock faced increasing operational complexity and compliance pressure associated with managing multiple entities across different jurisdictions. To address this, it consolidated finance, HR and people management onto a single Workday platform, working with Workday partner Kainos on the implementation.

According to chief financial officer Guillem Bonavia, the move was designed to provide greater control and visibility as the organisation scales.

“The end-to-end efficiencies we are driving with Workday are vital to our growth. Workday has set us up for success as our diverse and global footprint continues to expand. It enables us to operate with greater control, reduce risk, and make more data-driven decisions that support the business at scale,” he said.

Shuttlerock said the platform has standardised and digitised finance processes, reducing manual work and improving consistency across entities. The consolidation of data into a single system has also delivered faster reporting and richer insights, allowing management to respond more quickly to workforce and financial trends.

Improved visibility across jurisdictions has strengthened compliance, the company added, helping to reduce risk as it continues to grow internationally. The ability to manage multiple entities within one system was cited as a key factor in supporting governance and operational clarity.

Workday said the deployment illustrates how fast-growing organisations are increasingly integrating people and finance data to remain agile.
