Ready Egg Products is expanding its workforce at its headquarters and primary processing plant in Lisnaskea, adding two permanent, full-time roles in management accounting and HSE compliance, giving HR teams in food manufacturing a view of where support functions are growing alongside production demand.

Ready Egg Products is a family-run Northern Ireland egg processor, founded by Charles Crawford with egg production in Lisnaskea in 1975, which processes more than one billion eggs each year at plants in Lisnaskea and Chesterfield. It also runs Skea Egg Farms in Donaghmore, County Tyrone.

The strategic logic adds finance and compliance capacity to production growth. The roles are newly created, based on site in Fermanagh, which serves as the administrative and operational centre of the wider group.

The structural driver is rising demand for the company’s food manufacturing and distribution operations across the UK and Ireland, with major retailers, food service distributors, commercial bakeries and culinary manufacturers relying on weekly deliveries from the Fermanagh facility.

The plant processes whole shell eggs, liquid egg, hard-boiled eggs, scrambled egg preparations, freshly prepared egg mayonnaise and powdered egg, using advanced pasteurisation and blending equipment to supply large volumes with strict quality control.

The firm places strong emphasis on internal progression, offering pathways for motivated staff to advance into supervisory and specialist leadership positions.

Candidates can apply by sending a CV to the company, with full job descriptions available on request and other factory-based vacancies listed on its careers portal.

The recruitment follows a £2.9 million (€3.4 million) investment announced in October 2025, supported by more than £500,000 (€580,000) from Invest NI, covering an egg-breaking plant, a reverse osmosis plant and packaging robots, when the company employed 150 people locally.

Ready Egg acquired Co Tyrone-based Skea Eggs in 2022, a deal that took its workforce from 160 to around 300 people, according to The Irish News.

For the sector, the recruitment shows a food manufacturer adding finance and HSE compliance roles alongside production growth, with internal progression positioned as part of the employer offer.
