Longchamp appoints new HR leader for Asia Pacific operations

Longchamp, the Paris-based global fashion retailer, has named Thierry Kun as Head of Human Resources Business Partner for its Asia Pacific region, effective immediately.

The role will oversee people development, culture, and strategic HR initiatives across markets including Australia, Hong Kong, Macao, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Kun shared on LinkedIn: “I’m happy to share that I have started a new position as Head of Human Resources Business Partner - Asia Pacific with Longchamp. In my new role I will be working closely with Australia, Hong Kong, Macao, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan markets. Excited with this new journey.”

Bringing over 20 years of leadership experience across government and private sectors, Kun will enhance employee engagement, oversee onboarding processes, and drive learning programmes to improve organisational effectiveness. He will also support local HR teams with operational challenges while collaborating closely with the global team in France on strategic HR projects.

Prior to this appointment, Kun served as Global Director of Talent Acquisition at Rosewood Hotel Group, where he led top talent recruitment, developed and implemented EVP, employer branding, and vendor management strategies. His previous experience includes Regional Head of Talent Acquisition for APAC at BNP Paribas, Senior Recruitment Relationship Manager at HSBC, consulting roles at Robert Walters and the French Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and financial advisory at Société Générale.

Academically, Kun holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising, PR, and communications from École Supérieure de Publicité (ESP), a professional certificate in retail banking from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and a bachelor’s in Information & Communication, Mass Communication / Media Studies from Sorbonne Paris North University.
