Industry NewsKinisla targets 100 new jobs and €300m investment as Kerry Dairy Ireland rebrand signals growth phase
Kerry Dairy Ireland has rebranded as Kinisla and announced plans to create 100 new roles over the next 12 to 24 months as part of a €300 million five-year capital investment programme, marking a significant workforce and strategic expansion for the majority farmer-owned Irish dairy business. The announcement is relevant to HR and people management professionals tracking large-scale workforce growth in Ireland's agri-food and manufacturing sectors.
Business Plus reported that the rebrand was unveiled at an event in Listowel, Co Kerry, attended by Taoiseach Micheál Martin and ministers, following the completion of Kerry Co-Operative Creameries' acquisition of a 70% shareholding in Kerry Dairy Ireland in December 2024.
The company reported strong financial performance for 2025, with turnover rising to €1.4 billion and EBITDA increasing to €86.8 million. Milk volumes processed grew by 5.2% to more than 1.2 billion litres during the year.
Chief executive Pat Murphy said: "2025 was a landmark year for Kinisla and one that underlines the strength of the farmer-owned business we are building." Murphy added that the business delivered significant momentum across its Nutritional Ingredients and Dairy Consumer Foods portfolios while maintaining a competitive milk price for farmers.
The 100 new roles will span central and other functions, building the expertise and capacity needed for the company's next phase of development. The €300 million investment programme will include milk protein manufacturing technology, expansion of the consumer foods snacking business, and measures targeting Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon reduction.
Chairman James Tangney said the investment over the next five years is about building a business that delivers on milk price, sustainability, and long-term growth, with majority farmer ownership shaping everything the company does.
