Irish people-management platform HRLocker has launched HRLocker Hub, a free online community open to anyone with HR responsibilities in Ireland, as research from the company reveals that rising admin demands, compliance pressures, and professional isolation are placing significant strain on those managing HR in Irish SMEs.

Shannon Chamber reported that the Hub was launched on 15 July 2026 and is accessible to HR practitioners at all experience levels, including those without HR in their job title, and to people working in organisations that are not HRLocker customers.

HRLocker's research with Irish SMEs, published ahead of the launch, found that HR teams now spend an average of nine hours a week on admin, with 85 per cent saying this is not an efficient use of their time. Nearly all respondents, 99.5 per cent, reported feeling burned out, while 74 per cent said they feared they would fail an unannounced Workplace Relations Commission inspection. Many lacked complete, up-to-date contracts, policies, and essential records.

The Hub is organised into dedicated spaces including community threads for open discussion, an anonymous question function for sensitive issues, a practical tools library, and a member centre. HRLocker customers also have access to a dedicated customer zone, with a learning centre focused on product-specific training and accreditation planned for future rollout.

A select group of HR specialists, employment law advisors, and industry practitioners will contribute guidance and practical insights directly into the community, with access to expert-led discussions, live events, and Q&A features included for all members.

Crystel Robbins Rynne, CEO of HRLocker, said the Hub is designed to grow with its members rather than function as a static resource. She said: "We've built the foundations, but the Hub will be shaped by its members. It's a collaborative space where people can share challenges, spark ideas and support one another in real time. While it includes resources and tools, it is far more than a static library. It's a community that will grow and evolve as the needs and voices of its members do."
