HRLocker and Paycheck Plus integrate HR and payroll for SMEs

HRLocker, a top HRIS platform in Ireland, has joined forces with payroll provider Paycheck Plus by IRIS to deliver a fully integrated HR and payroll solution for SMEs across Ireland and the UK.

The partnership is designed to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce errors, and streamline administrative processes across the employee lifecycle.

The combined solution provides SMEs with a single source of truth for employee data, synchronised processes, and automated information flow between HR and payroll systems. This integration addresses a long-standing gap in the SME market where HR and payroll functions often operate in silos, increasing compliance risks and administrative workload.

Phased rollout beginning in the fourth quarter of 2025 will bring these benefits to existing customers, helping businesses maintain accuracy in reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and free HR teams from repetitive administrative tasks.

HRLocker CEO Crystel Robbins Rynne explained that the goal is to give SMEs clarity and confidence in managing growth. “By connecting HR and payroll into a single solution, businesses can focus less on admin and more on their workforce,” she said.

IRIS Senior Director Brona Grogan added that the collaboration reflects a commitment to making business processes more efficient. “This partnership extends simplicity across the employee lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency,” Grogan said.

To support SMEs in preparing for upcoming compliance changes, including Ireland’s auto-enrolment pension scheme starting 1 January 2026, HRLocker and Paycheck Plus hosted a free 45-minute webinar. The session offered practical guidance for employers navigating HR and payroll obligations under the new system.

The partnership demonstrates a move towards fully digitised and automated HR operations in the SME sector, providing tools to reduce administrative burdens while maintaining regulatory compliance and workforce effectiveness.
