Gig Grafter appoints new director to accelerate workforce technology expansion

Northern Ireland technology firm Gig Grafter Limited has welcomed Patricia O’Hagan MBE to its Board of Directors, marking a strategic move to drive innovation, scale, and social impact in workforce management solutions.

Gig Grafter offers a cloud-based platform that supports sectors including retail, hospitality, healthcare, and manufacturing, enabling clients to optimise operations, demonstrate compliance, and deliver flexible, fair workforce planning. O’Hagan brings deep experience in developing digital platforms that enhance operational efficiency, having co-founded and led Core Systems, which improved rehabilitation services in prisons across the USA, Europe, and Australia before its acquisition by Multi-Health Systems Inc. in 2023.

Her appointment also adds significant expertise in technology policy and governance. As a board member of the Artificial Intelligence Collaboration Centre, she has guided ethical AI adoption across Northern Ireland, contributing to national standards in biometrics and security. Recognised with an MBE for services to the Northern Ireland economy, O’Hagan combines entrepreneurial vision with a commitment to public service, leveraging her leadership to generate both economic and societal impact.

Co-founder Barry Lynch highlighted that her addition strengthens the board as Gig Grafter expands its product offering and markets, supported by a £1 million investment programme over the next two years. The company aims to scale its workforce management platform across the UK while maintaining its focus on operational excellence and employee experience.
