NI Chamber and Bank of Ireland will host a business breakfast for HR professionals and senior leaders on 20th February in Belfast, bringing together people leaders from across Northern Ireland to examine effective workforce practices in a rapidly evolving employment landscape.

News Letter reported that the event, scheduled for Charles Hurst Jaguar Land Rover between 9am and 11am, will address key themes at the forefront of HR strategy including attracting, engaging and retaining talent, managing multigenerational workforces, rewards transparency, values-led cultures, inclusive employment pathways and policy approaches supporting people and performance.

Louise Maguire will guide a discussion with panellists including Keith Smith, chief people officer at Mallaghan Engineering, Anne Brace, head of HR at Avondale Foods, and Sarah Milliken, head of talent and culture at Aflac Northern Ireland.

The session will examine how organisations can build workplaces that balance commercial resilience with people-centred approaches. Expert speakers will explore practical strategies for talent retention and workforce engagement as competition for skilled professionals intensifies across the region.

February's breakfast marks the launch of the 2026 Business Breakfast Series, delivered by NI Chamber in partnership with Bank of Ireland with support from SME partner Power NI. Now in its fifth year, the series provides learning and networking opportunities for professionals working in core business functions.

Upcoming sessions scheduled throughout the year will also address marketing, innovation and finance as strategic business priorities. The breakfast format allows senior professionals to engage directly with sector-specific challenges whilst building relationships across Northern Ireland's business community.

The event is free for NI Chamber members to attend. Registration is available through the NI Chamber website, with spaces allocated on a first-come basis given expected demand from the regional people management community.
